As a bride-to-be, there’s a big to-do list to tackle leading up to your big day. Finding the perfect dress, booking the venue, and choosing your wedding party all top the list of things to check off right off the bat. As you know, investing in and scheduling a photographer to capture your big day will inevitably be on that list as well. But, why wait until your wedding to take special pictures for your groom?
Boudoir photo shoots are a fun way to let your hair down and celebrate the bond you and your soon-to-be-husband share. It’s a wonderful opportunity to spice things up with sexy yet tasteful portraits to remember this special time in both your lives.
I recently documented a gorgeously styled boudoir shoot hosted by D’Arcy Benincosa’s, The Path Workshop. The session was held at Refine Studio in Utah; a stunning venue. The atmosphere was exceptionally simple and artistically clean. Using a minimalistic approach, a simplistic backdrop allowed the bride-to-be and her stunning features become the focus. What a gorgeous focus she made!
Megan’s Classy Boudoir Editorial
Megan doned a delicate silk veil from Girl With a Serious Dream. She paired it with a gorgeous French slip that highlighted her beautiful and feminine form. I wanted to focus on the natural beauty of the bride, and Megan made a stunning subject. Boudoir photography is all about highlighting the small details that make each woman so unique. A bare shoulder, the delicate bend of a collar bone, or the soft touch of a hand on cheek. These subtle details make each boudoir session unforgettable and uniquely intimate.
This soon-to-be-bride amazed me throughout the entire editorial session with her confidence and poise, and looked absolutely amazing doing it! The best thing about this session is, now she can check boudoir shoot off her wedding to-do-list. Not to mention an extra check mark for happiest husband ever.
