I have found my favorite spot for bridals! As a fine art photographer, I’m always for looking for a place with stunning texture, color, and lighting. Hawaii, of course, has plenty of great options to choose from, but this semi-secluded beach tops them all. Layers of black and charcoal-colored lava rock jut out into the ocean, and the waves turn into foam when they meet. The juxtaposing colors of a white bridal gown, the blue-green sea, and the dark rock just look stunning together – certainly large canvas worthy!
This beautiful bride looked amazing and was a complete natural in front of the camera. Plus, she wasn’t afraid to explore a little, and walked out on the rocks with elegance and grace. She wore a white lace gown with thin straps that looked perfect for the beach. The grassy volcanic hills rolled across the backdrop, but Victoria was easily the focal point and sparkling jewel of these portraits.
We took several of her walking playfully along the tranquil beach and some looking more pensive, in a bridal bliss state of mind. When she was up on the layers of rock, the sun peeked through the clouds and shone on her long wavy hair and radiant face. I love the dimension that the shadows bring to these photos!
I hope Victoria is as in love with these images as I am. She looked absolutely gorgeous, and I cannot wait for her wedding day. She will certainly be a glowing bride. Victoria was such a pleasure to work with, and I had a wonderful time documenting this special time right before she says, “I do!” to the love of her life. Congratulations, Victoria! I wish you both the very best and many exciting adventures together!
