I recently had the pleasure of shooting one of the most beautifully-designed Bali bridal sessions. Featured on Style Me Pretty, this shoot was held at the breathtaking Alila Villas Uluwatu – Bali’s top venue for weddings.
The layered blush dress was designed by the talented Elsie Chrysila. (Make sure to check out more of her beautiful work [here]!) The soft pink dress features a very deep V neckline and delicate floral designs on the top – chic, sexy, and dreamy. With all of the layers of ruffles, you would think this gown would be larger than it is, but instead it falls softly down like a waterfall, still exposing the bride’s silhouette. This is the dress we’ve all been wating for: the perfect balance between A-line and ballgown.
Mia from Her Maid of Honor has quite the eye for design and did a wonderful job of planning and coordinating all the pieces of the shoot! These simple yet sophisticated villas let in so much of the natural light that I love using, and the soft feathery arrangements softened up the rustic wooden dimensions. The textures in this shoot were so much fun capture! She kept the color pallet soft with neutrals and pastels that complemented the darker pieces of the natural wood and scenery. I also used the lighting and shadows to create some of the bolder, striking looks.
It was wonderful to collaborate with these other talented ladies to pull of a look that is fit for the front cover of a wedding catalogue. If you are looking for some beachy, summer wedding inspiration, you will be sure to find it here!
