A family of three for this Waimea Valley wedding
Michelle and Mark’s gorgeous Waimea Valley wedding in Oahu was truly a quintessential Hawaii wedding. When I first got in contact with bride Michelle, she revealed that she was pregnant and planning a wedding… what a superwoman. With this in mind, every detail and every moment was made extra special when thinking of their new soon-to-be family of three and not just two! I loved the attention to detail, emphasis on family, and just how sweet Michelle and Mark’s love is.
Their wedding day began on Oahu Island with misty skies in the morning. Michelle began her getting ready process alongside her bridesmaids and her mother. Her tulle-laden gown floated like a dream and accommodated her absolutely stunning bump. Seriously, all brides have a glow of happiness on their wedding day and Michelle had that PLUS her motherly glow. What a vision!
Early afternoon we quickly ran to the reason Michelle and Mark chose this incredible venue: the falls. The Waimea Valley wedding venue includes access to the most breathtaking waterfall views and these images were so, so worth it.
Traditional Hawaiian elements
Michelle’s walk down the aisle with her father was a sweet one. Their ceremony was simple, yet lush with greenery and the scene was set in such a romantic way. Friends, family, and loved ones gathered on the earthy benches and just about everyone got a little bit teary during their vows. It is truly a remarkable thing to vow to love someone the rest of your lives and to hear Michelle and Mark talking about their new addition on the way during these vows was simply lovely.
I loved this couple and had such a wonderful time with their guests! At the end of the evening, guests celebrated the new couple with ocean views and fun cocktails. Oahu is one of the most desirable locations for a wedding (see another here) and it is easy to see why…
