I met Akiko in South Korea while working together at her workshop. We immediately hit it off—one of those easy kind of friendships that come together providentially. So, we decided to hang out in Paris to do a few styled shoots together. Luckily enough, I was able to put on the hat of Paris family photographer. I have to say, I think it fit quite well!
Small Park. Big Love.
For this session, she gave me the honor of photographing her beautiful family of three. We went to a small park in Paris to capture the big love that they have for each other. Akiko and Nicolas’ daughter Emma was just adorable during the shoot and bounced along happily, almost unaware that she was the highlight of the session. Nicolas showed so much love to his two girls. He never tired of making Emma giggle or affectionately holding his wife.
I’m glad I do not have to pick which pictures to display from this collection—they are all stunning! The weather cooperated with us as the sun’s marvelous beams shimmered through the overhanging trees throughout the park. The shade provided perfect lighting for the shoot. I especially loved the built-in props of the park: a sidewalk lined with park benches, the charming bridge, and the ornate iron gate contributed to the diversity of the shoot. One of my favorites included a candid shot of the couple playing and talking with Emma in a little alcove surrounded by greenery.
Overall, as fate would have it, I am so glad I bumped into Akiko—the pleasure of capturing these family photos was all mine.
What a perfect day we had playing the day away in this small park. Being Akiko’s Paris Family Photographer was nothing short of an absoute honor!
