I had the extreme honor of having this shoot featured on the Once Wed blog. With a venue and model as beautiful as these, it wasn’t hard finding inspiration and jumping behind the lens as a Provence wedding photographer. Imagine walking up the tree-lined drive to find a charming stone villa nestled at the end. A gorgeous bride, looking like a fairytale princess, strolls through a serene archway of green vines and blush-colored flowers. Together, the event stylist Christine Clark and Debbie from Designs by Hemingway created a masterpiece. The centerpieces looked as if sprays of roses were blooming straight from the wooden table. The look was perfect for fall with shades of champagne, dusty rose and deep violet. All of the textures from the vintage stone, earthy bark, and natural greenery made the pictures pop even more.
A Stunning Session from Start to Finish
Our model looked stunning. Ylva Langenskiold did a wonderful job of creating a naturally blushing bride with simple yet elegant makeup. The bride’s dress looked as if delicate leaves made of lace had fallen just perfectly into form and tied in well to the rest of the natural theme.
The venue itself inspired the design. Le Mas de la Rose, a boutique hotel in Provence, lies at the base of the of the breathtaking Alpilles Mountains. Scents of lavender, olive and pine fill the air. It truly feels like a dream. For the shoot, every detail from the taper candles to the vintage invitations matched the style of the little Provencal villa. The table setting was formal, but intimate, set with antique tableware. The soft glow of sunlight spread across the scene, and magic happened. Pure perfection.
It was an absolute joy capturing this styled shoot as a Provence Wedding Photographer. A stunning venue and even more stunning model. What more could I ask for?
