The Halekulani Hotel is one of my favorite wedding venues on the island. I’ve photographed numerous wedding ceremony and receptions at this Honolulu location, and it never ceases to amaze me. Their immaculate grounds and luxurious hotel are the perfect place for a romantic destination wedding or grand reception.
about their gorgeous day
This sweet couple grew up in the states, but Caroline wanted to infuse lots of her Korean culture into their wedding day. She wore a beautiful hanbok dress with her mom, and they looked so lovely together. What a special moment for the two of them – I’m so glad I was able to capture that memory for their family to look back on and cherish.
Their wedding day was stunning and beautifully planned down to the last detail! It was so gorgeous that it could have even been a staged wedding shoot. I was blown away! Their entire family has exquisite style! Caroline’s father even wore a super sharp-looking blue suit and glimmering pink tie that perfectly coordinated with her theme and colors, and Lance looked so handsome as he stood anxiously awaiting her signal to turn around for their intimately sweet first look. They shared a few moments out on the beach just relishing in their big day and taking time for them.
Their ceremony took place out on the open-air veranda under the soft late-afternoon glow of the sun. You could hear the waves lapping in the background, and a harpist played softly. The moment was so idyllic! The wedding arch looked amazing wrapped in white linens, tulle, and flowers that matched her bridal bouquet and his boutonniere. After they said, “I do!” to forever with each other, they spent some time together watching the sun set before meeting the rest of their friends and family for their celebratory reception! Congratulations, Caroline and Lance!
